A TRACTOR was badly damaged in a fire in Christow yesterday.

Fire crews from Moretonhampstead and Exeter were called to Bekhams Tree Cross just before 4.30pm.

The vehicle was well alight by the time the emergency teams arrived at the scene.

A hosereel jet was used to extinguish the flames which ‘severely damaged’ the tractor.

The cause of the fire was said to be accidental.
