POLICE and firefighters were called to junction 31 of the M5 – just inside Teignbridge – this morning (Tuesday) after the brakes of a heavy goods vehicle caught alight.
The small fire was already out by the time they arrived at the scene on the northbound carriageway just before 11am.
Two crews from Exeter made a thorough examination of the vehicle to confirm the danger had passed.
