A FIRE crew from Dawlish responded to a report of a tea towel which had been on fire at a premises in Little Week Road, Dawlish.

A fire service spokesman said: "This was a small fire in the ground floor kitchen involving a tea towel which had been removed to the open air by the occupant.

"One elderly female was suffering from slight smoke inhalation and so crews administered oxygen therapy and requested an ambulance service to attend."

The cause of the fire was accidental.
