A former boxer has denied importing a pistol from the Czech Republic and possessing an arsenal of weapons including a Mauser handgun.
Body builder Christopher Jackson, aged 30, denied four charges relating to firearms and a stun gun when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court.
Jackson, of Chudleigh Road, Kingsteignton, denied importing a blank firing pistol, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of amphetamines.
The prohibited weapons charges relates to a Mauser pistol with a barrel length of less than 30 cm, and a stun gun.
He admitted possession of a firearm within five years of release from a prison sentence.
All the charges arose from a police search at his home on July 5 this year. The Czech pistol was allegedly imported on May 15.
Judge Peter Johnson adjourned his case for a trial at Exeter on November 29 this year.
