A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy was hurt after colliding with a car on the Ashburton Road in Newton Abbot.

The young pedestrian was taken to Torbay Hospital by ambulance after sustaining minor injuries in the accident at 6.30pm on Tuesday.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta involved in the incident was not hurt.
