BURGLARS fled after being disturbed as they raided a property in Newton Abbot’s Lonsdale Road over the weekend.

They got away with a black handbag containing a dark blue Aspinal wallet and a purse.

The thieves struck at about 2am on Sunday.

Det Con Rich Jones said: ‘We wish to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anyone acting suspiciously in the area at this time.’

He added: ‘We want to hear from anyone who might have some information about this incident.’
