POLICE were alerted after a taxidriver was involved in an alleged bust-up with a female fare in Kingsteignton.

Officers were called to the Vicarage Hill area in the first few minutes of Sunday morning to deal with the disturbance which woke local residents.

A police spokesman confirmed that two people – a cabbie and his passenger - had been quizzed about an incident at 12.10am. He said no arrests were made, although inquiries into the incident were continuing.
