FIRE crews from Dawlish and Teignmouth tackled a vehicle fire this afternoon (Saturday).

At around 2.30pm crews responded to a call reporting a car on fire within a building at Dawlish Business Park.

On arriving at the scene crews found one car well alight which had already been pushed out of the building into the open by a member of the public.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Crews set to work using one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to ensure that the fire was fully extinguished.

’The car was 100% damaged by the fire and there was a small amount of superficial damage to guttering and frontage of the building.’
