A CAR was ‘totally destroyed by fire yesterday morning (Saturday) on the A380A South Ashcombe Cross, Wapperwell

A Fire Service spokesperson said: ‘The fire service received multiple calls for a report of a car on fire on fire at the above location. One fire engine from Dawlish and a fire engine from Middlemoor attended this incident.

‘One small vehicle totally destroyed by fire.

‘It was extinguished using four breathing apparatus and two compressed air foam jets.

‘The cause of the fire was accidental.’
