AN ELDERLY man was flown to hospital yesterday after collapsing in Bovey Tracey.

The Devon Air Ambulance ferried the 78-year-old casualty to Plymouth’s Derriford Hospital.

The aircraft’s crew were alerted at 5pm after a man had reportedly suffered a suspected cardiac arrest in the Redwoods area of the town.

The chopper landed in the nearby recreation ground.
