Community buses destroyed in blaze

TWO community buses appear to have been torched overnight in Dawlish.

The charity run vehicles were seen well alight in Barton car park in the early hours of the morning.

It is understood two of the vehicles, run the Dawlish Community Transport, may have been destroyed.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police by calling 101. 

Onlooker Ian Wood spotted the flames sometime before 4am.

He said: ‘I saw an orange glow from the back window and was worried there was a house fire a few streets over.

‘Went to check the fire service had been called and it’s the two community transport buses on fire.’
