A TREE, shrubs and a fence panel were damaged in a fire at Heathfield over the Bank Holiday weekend.

A fire crew from Bovey Tracey dealt with the incident at a property in Sharps Close late last night.

Slight damage was also caused to an outhouse in the next-door property, a fire spokesman revealed.

A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze which happened just after 10.30pm.
