A 47-year-old Devon woman has admitted causing the death of a 90-year-old pensioner in a car crash on a Dartmoor country road.
Exeter Crown Court heard the crash was caused by a ‘momentary lapse of concentration’ on Thomas’ part.
Prosecutor Sean Brunton said it was a ‘tragic accident’ and defence lawyer Adrian Chaplin said the crash was caused by ‘momentary inattention and carelessness’.
The crash happened on a country road between Moretonhampstead and Whiddon Down and led to ‘terrible consequences’.
Thomas was bailed and will be sentenced next week. She was given an interim driving ban.
