POLICE have made an appeal for witnesses – including a man in silver-coloured sports car – following the death of a motorcyclist.

Police also asked if anyone has dascham footage after the motorcyclist died in a collision in Shaldon, Devon, yesterday, (Tuesday, April 7).

A spokesperson said: ‘Emergency services were called to Teignmouth Road, near to the Labrador Bay car park, at around 1.10pm.

‘The collision involved a motorcycle and a refuse truck. Sadly, the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

‘Police are appealing for witnesses and in particular would like to speak with the male driver of a silver-coloured convertible sports car which was said to have its roof down.

‘The driver could be able to help officers with their inquiries and may have witnessed events leading up to the collision.’
