POLICE have appealed for a key witness to come forward after a crash between a tractor and a Mercedes car at Stover, Newton Abbot.

The accident happened on Sunday, July 26, when a woman passenger in the car was left seriously injured. She is still recovering in hospital.

If you were on the A382 outside Stover School in Newton Abbot at the time the police would like to hear from you.

A police spokesperson said today, Friday: ‘Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team attended the scene and are still appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision.

Sgt Nigel Cox said: ‘We are interested in speaking to the driver of a car heading in the direction of Trago Mills who saw the tractor emerging from the gateway prior to it colliding with the Mercedes.

‘We are also keen on speaking to anyone who saw the tractor prior to the incident who hasn’t yet spoken to police already.

‘Anyone who may have dash-cam footage is also asked to contact police via [email protected] or by calling 101 quoting the log number 425 of 26/07/20.’
