A driver has denied causing serious injury to another motorist in an accident at Newton Abbot.
Jordan Hembery, aged 21, of Kingsway Avenue, Paignton, pleaded not guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving to Joseph Robinson on April 15 last year.
The accident happened on the B 3195 at Newton Road, Newton Abbot and involved Hembery’s Nissan Sylvia car.
Judge Geoffrey Mercer, QC, adjourned the case for a further hearing on March 16.
Mr Stephen Nunn, defending, said an expert report is being sought to determine if the accident was caused by a fault in the fitting of a customised tyre on the Nissan.
