A WOMAN in her 80s was rescued by firefighters after falling in her home at Aller over the weekend.
Paramedics were called to her address after she activated a personal safety alarm at 11.15pm on Saturday.
But they could not get into the locked property - and the casualty was not able to get up after her mishap.
Firefighters from Newton Abbot responded to the request for help.
They managed to squeeze through small window to get to the 87-year-old woman who was duly checked over by paramedics.
She was then taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital for a check-up.
