POLICE and paramedics responded to a 999 call amid concerns a man had been assaulted in the Enigma Nightclub area of Newton Abbot at the weekend.
One man was taken to Torbay Hospital by an ambulance crew after the incident in Kingsteignton Road just after 2.30am on Sunday.
Police confirmed they were called out to deal with an altercation, although they found no evidence of an assault at the location.
An ambulance spokesman said the man taken to hospital, as a precaution, appeared to be uninjured.
