A VEHICLE was wrecked after catching fire on the Heathfield Industrial Estate late this morning (May 24).

A fire crew from Bovey Tracey extinguished the blaze in Fairfax Road after the 999 call came in at 11.22am.

An absorption mat was used to mop up spilled diesel fuel in danger of entering nearby drains. The vehicle had to be recovered from the scene.
