A DOG stuck on the cliff face at Dawlish was rescued by firefighters early today.
The dog and its owner found themselves trapped on the steep cliffs at Coryton Cove overlooking the sandy beach and railway line below.
Moments after the alarm call was made at 6.33am, it was confirmed that the dog walker was able to scramble to safety.
Dawlish and Teignmouth fire crews attended the scene together with the Specialist Rescue Team from Plymouth.
They were able to retrieve the dog from his perilous perch and return it to its grateful owner
