MOTORISTS were treated a water show at the weekend when a jet of the wet stuff fired 40 metres into the air in Newton Abbot after a mains outlet blew.

It happened near the East Golds roundabout by the town’s new hospital on Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters cordoned off the area just before 4pm while South West Water engineers capped the spout.
