A YOUNG man who fell out of a third-storey flat window in Kingskerswell escaped with leg and ankle injuries.

The 24-year-old casualty – said to be ‘conscious and breathing’ – was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital for treatment after the plunge in Torquay Road at 4.30pm yesterday.

Police later revealed that the man, from Torquay, had been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

It’s understood a partner had earlier suffered facial injuries in a suspected domestic incident.

The detained man remained in police custody yesterday.
