POLICE probing a glassing attack at a Dawlish pub have launched an appeal for witnesses.

The victim, who has not been named, suffered serious facial injuries in the assault which happened at the Lansdowne pub in Park Road.

He received a deep cut to his cheek after being struck in the face by a glass in the premises at about 11.30pm on May 2, a Thursday.

A 22-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of the assault. He has since been released under police investigation.

A police spokesman said: ‘Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, or via email at [email protected], quoting crime reference number CR/038693/19.’
