ALL three emergency services were called after a car flipped over on its side on the Totnes Road at Ipplepen this morning.

Police, fire and ambulance teams attended the scene at 9.20am to find members of the public had helped the occupants out of the crashed vehicle, a Vauxhall Astra.

An ambulance spokesman said a male casualty was taken to Torbay hospital after suffering chest pains and a leg injury.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The blocked road was closed while the vehicle was recovered. The carriageway was reported clear by 11am.
