POLICE were called to a Newton Abbot park over the weekend amid reports of a possible sex attack.

Officers responded to a 999 shout at Osborne Park just after 6am on Sunday.

A man in a state of undress was spoken to by officers who, after making inquiries, were satisfied that no offence had been committed.

Possessions feared to have have been stolen were subsequently found at the scene.

CCTV footage was examined as part of the investigation, which included cordoning off the park.

A police spokesman confirmed that no further action was being taken in relation to the incident.
