A MAN was trapped beneath a mini digger in Derncleugh Gardens, Dawlish, this afternoon (Wednesday.

Fire control received a call from the South Western Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST) regarding a man trapped beneath a mini digger at 1.50pm.

A Fire Control spokesperson said: ‘Fire engines from Dawlish and Teignmouth attended alongside an officer.

‘On arrival crews got to work with rescue equipment and successfully released one male who is now being treated by SWAST.’
