POLICE investigating a burglary at the offices of Teignbridge District Council in Newton Abbot are appealing for information.
A mayoral chain and pendant (pictured) and jewellery worth several thousand pounds were stolen from display cabinets during the break-in at the premises in Forde Road on the Brunel Road Industrial Estate.
It occurred between 6pm on Wednesday, September 16, and 7.30am on Thursday, September 17.
A spokesperson said: ‘The stolen items are of a unique nature and may be difficult to sell on.’
Police are urging anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the items, or who has been offered them, to call 101 or email [email protected] quoting crime reference CR/078140/20.
