NEWTON Abbot Minor Injury Unit will open its doors for even longer over the New Year period.

With the festivities in full swing, the unit, based at the town’s community hospital, will be on hand to deal with any minor injuries or aliments people may have.

The unit is open from 8am until 10pm seven days a week and now, its X-ray services have been extended.

The service will be open from 9am until 6pm on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and January 2.
