A MOTORIST was rescued from his overturned car when it crashed outside Lustleigh last night.

Fire crews from Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampstead used a triple extension ladder to help extricate the motorist.

The accident happened a mile north of Lustleigh between Blackingstone Farm just after 8.15pm.

Environmental protection equipment was used to contained spillages from the flipped over car.

No other vehicles were involved.
