A VEHICLE was badly damaged after catching fire off Churcombe Valley Road in Newton Abbot yesterday evening.

One crew from the town arrived at the scene in Moorsend to find the vehicle well alight.

A spokesman said after the 6.45pm shout: ‘The vehicle was severely damaged by fire and two breathing apparatus, one hosereel jet and small tools were used to deal with the incident.’
