A TV burst into flames at a property in Heathfield this morning.

Two fire crews from Newton Abbot dealt with the incident in Lower Cannon Road after receiving a 999 call just after 9.30am.

They arrived to find the small blaze in a ground floor lounge was out. The offending television was taken outside for safety.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check over the property.
