TWO men from Dawlish and Teignmouth have pleaded guilty to carrying out a serious assault in Torbay last year.
Anthony Lower, aged 29, of Lower Kingsdown Road, Teignmouth, and Robert Dobbin, aged 26, of The Mews, Dawlish, both admitted assault causing grievous bodily harm when they appeared at Exeter Crown Court.
The men admitted the offence after a more serious charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent was withdrawn by the prosecution.
The attack was carried out in Torquay on August 2 last year and both men had been due to face a jury trial.
Recorder Mr William Mousley, QC, adjourned sentence until later this month and ordered probation pre sentence reports on both men. He released them on bail.
