AN 85-YEAR-OLD pensioner who went missing on Dartmoor was found safe and well in the national park over the weekend.

There had been concern for Robert West from Paignton with public appeals for information on his whereabouts.

He was located by a member of the public at Meldon Resevoir at 9.30am on Saturday.

Mr West was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital to be checked over.

He had last been seen at about 11am on Friday with his vehicle discovered near the Meldon Reservoir later in the day. 

Police have thanked the public for their assistance with the appeal.
