A CORDON was set up around the Sainsbury’s garage at Penn Inn, Newton Abbot, at lunchtime on Thursday last week, after a petrol spill on the forecourt.

An appliance from Newton Abbot Fire Station attended and the crew found abouty five litres of fuel had leaked from a car.

They used an environmental spillage kit and small tools to stem the flow and also set the cordon and isolated the pump.
