TWO crews from Teignmouth dealt with a plug socket fire in Bishopsteignton yesterday.

A dry powder extinguisher was used to tackle the incident in a detached bungalow in Teign Close.

The alarm was raised just before 3pm.

A fire spokesman said plasterboard around the socket had to be cut away to make sure the problem had been resolved.

Two sets of breathing gear were worn by firefighters during the emergency.
