Teignmouth Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) recently held its final and ‘highly successfully’ training session of 2025.
The exercise involved two scenarios, both treated just like a real shout.
The scenarios included a shoreline search, rescue and recovery from the shoreline and casualty care.
Crew members acted as casualties with a range of medical needs, from hypothermia and broken bones to cardiac arrest, alongside challenging members of the public, creating pressure-filled situations that demanded clear communication, teamwork and calm decision-making.
‘The evening concluded on a lighter note, with a few pizzas and a festive drink as we marked our final training session of 2025’, a spokesperson from Teignmouth RNLI said.
