POLICE have appealed for information on the crash on the A38 last night that left a car in a field and three people taken to hospital.

As reported earlier, yesterday evening, Saturday, police, fire and ambulance were called to the A38 near Chudleigh to reports of a vehicle which had left the carriageway.

A police spokesperson said: ‘On the arrival of the emergency services, a singlevehicle was located in a field and three passengers including a young child weretaken to the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital for treatment. 

‘The A38 was closed for several hours while a detailed collision investigation took place.

‘Officers would like to thank the public for their patience and ask that any witnesses contact 101 quoting log 922 250323.’
