A CHIP pan blaze was extinguished in Newton Abbot’s Raleigh Road yesterday evening. (January 26)

Two fire crews rushed to the scene just before 6pm after smoke was seen billowing from the flat at Milber.

A hosereel jet was used together with a covering jet and dry powder extinguisher to tackle the blaze. A fire spokesman confirmed the cause was accidental.
