FIRECREWS from Bovey Tracey and Newton Abbot attended a refuse lorry that was reported as being fire in Station Road, Bovey Tracey this morning (Saturday, April 17).

On arrival at the scene just before 10.15am crews confirmed there was a small fire in the rear of the lorry and extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets.

Crews then escorted the lorry to the local refuse tip in Kingsteignton, to make sure the fire was fully extinguished, when the rubbish was emptied from the lorry.
