A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a serious road traffic collision in Newton Abbot.
Police were called at 4.10am today (Monday) with a report of a collision between a motorcyclist and a barrier at the end of Aller Brake Road.
According to Devon and Cornwall Police a male casualty was taken to Derriford Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The road is currently closed while enquiries continuing into the circumstances of the collision continue and motorists are advised to avoid area.
