A BOY was injured in a road accident outside Newton Abbot’s Bakers Park this afternoon.

Police and paramedics attended the scene just after 5pm outside the almshouses.

The lad, aged about eight, was seen to be conscious at the scene.

He was taken by ambulance to hospital.

The accident happened just 100 yards from the scene of a bus and car collision five days ago in which a 20-year-old woman received head and leg injuries.
