ARSONISTS are thought to have torched a remote Scout hut in Bishopsteignton over the weekend.
A resident in the Humber Lane area spotted smoke coming from a nearby copse on Sunday afternoon.
He alerted firefighters who who used a specially-equipped 4x4 vehicle from Buckfastleigh to reach the scene.
They were able to extinguish the blaze which destroyed the small hut used for storage by local Scouts.
A fire crew from Newton Abbot also responded to the incident.
