EGG-THROWING car occupants are being sought by police after the ‘stupid’ offenders struck in Bovey Tracey.

One car was hit by the egg chuckers, whose car travelling in the opposite direction and was being driven on main beam headlights.

The culprits struck on the A382 in the town.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may know the offenders behind the reckless prank.

A police spokesman said: ‘This was a stupid act which could have caused an accident.’

Information can be passed to officers by ringing police on 101.

A police spokesman said the targeted car’s windscreen was damaged in the incident.
