A CAR’S engine was severely damaged after catching fire in Teignmouth’s Grange Drive.

A fire crew from the town dealt with the incident after the alarm was raised just after 4pm on Friday.

Two firefighters in breathing gear used a hose jet to extinguish the blaze.

A fire spokesman said the incident was being treated as accidental.
