A ’BODY’ reported to be floating in the sea off Teignmouth, turned out to be a log.

The local lifeboat the two Annes was launched to investigate after coastguards received a message that a ’body’ had been spotted off the Point.

The crew reached the spot within minutes, but returned to the station after ascertaining it was a false alarm with good intent.
