A Teignmouth man has denied an eye gouging attack which allegedly caused a woman serious injuries.
Dale Norman, aged 40, of Barn Park Road, Teignmouth, pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court.
The attack is alleged to have been carried out on April 22 in Paignton and is said to involve the gouging of a woman’s eye.
Judge David Evans adjourned the case for a trial on October 22. Norman, who appeared by video link from Exeter Prison, was remanded in custody.
