PERSON aboard a broken down speedboat was rescued by Teignmouth RNLI lifeboat crew on yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

The volunteer crew received a call to launch at 4.10pm and went to Dawlish, where there was a person aboard a speedboat which had suffered engine failure.

The crew took the vessel under tow and returned it to Teignmouth.

The crew returned to station and the lifeboat was refuelled and ready for service at 5.30pm.
