Teignmouth RNLI lifeboat crew was busy with three shouts over the past week.

The first on Wednesday, July 15, was a multi-agency response to assist an injured man with Teignmouth RNLI lifeboat crew. Paramedics, Coastguard teams, a Coastguard rescue helicopter and police were all involved.

The volunteer lifeboat crew received a request to launch at 7.48pm to Long Quarry, Torquay, where there was a man with injuries.

The casualty was given first aid and the crew transferred paramedics and members of the Coastguard team from Babbacombe to the incident site.

The Coastguard rescue helicopter was requested and the injured man was transferred to hospital.

The next call-out on Friday, July 17, was to take over towing a jet ski.

The jet ski was taking on water and was under tow by Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat crew and the Teignmouth crew took over and returned it to Teignmouth.

The volunteer crew were requested to launch again the following day at 6.04pm after a kayaker fell into the water near Shaldon Bridge.

The crew took the casualty aboard the lifeboat and returned to the boathouse where the person received casualty care and was taken by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
