THREE fire crews rushed to a road accident scene in Teignmouth this afternoon amid fears people were trapped in crashed vehicles.

Firefighters from Dawlish and Torquay arrived in Ashleigh Way to discover that the initial reports were incorrect.

The alarm was raised at 1.20pm.
