A TUMBLE dryer burst into flames at a flat in Shaldon over the weekend.

Two fire crews from Teignmouth dealt with the incident in a second floor kitchen at the mid-terraced property in Ringmore Road.

The alarm was raised just after 4.30pm on Saturday.

A hosereel jet and small tools were used to extinguish the blazing appliance.
